Purpose: This module will enable students to analyse the functioning of a macroeconomic system by focusing on the development of the students’ understanding of different theories regarding the determination of output and income and the different assumptions which underlie the theoretical models, the interaction between the various macroeconomic variables, the different analytical tools, and the economic policy implications of stabilisation policies of each model to gain a comprehensive picture of how the economy works.
